Ingredients:

Chicken & Onion Stuffed Biscuits

Prep: 10 minutes        Cook: 14 minutes        Serves: 4

  • 1/2 cup of shredded, cooked chicken

  • 4 T of Small Batch Kitchen Smoked Onion Spread

  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

  • 1 red pepper, diced

  • 1 T vegetable oil

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups crispy fried onions

  • 8oz canned biscuits (Southern Homestyle recipe recommended)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F 

  2. Add vegetable oil to pan and then add diced red peppers, cooking until tender

  3. Add chicken and Small Batch Kitchen Smoked Onion Spread to a bowl and mix until chicken is coated in the spread

  4. Allow chicken mixture to cool for a few minutes and then mix the cheese into the chicken mixture

  5. Mix egg with a dash of water to create an egg wash

  6. Crumble up the crispy fried onions and place in a separate bowl

  7. Split biscuit in half with hands and place about 2 teaspoons of the chicken and cheese mixture into 1 biscuit, sealing close once done

  8. Coat the sealed crescent rolls with the egg wash, roll in the crispy fried onions, and then place in a greased baking dish about 2 inches apart 

  9. Bake covered for 12-14 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown
