Chicken & Onion Stuffed Biscuits

1/2 cup of shredded, cooked chicken

4 T of Small Batch Kitchen Smoked Onion Spread

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
-
1 red pepper, diced
-
1 T vegetable oil
-
1 egg
-
2 cups crispy fried onions
-
8oz canned biscuits (Southern Homestyle recipe recommended)

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Add vegetable oil to pan and then add diced red peppers, cooking until tender

Add chicken and Small Batch Kitchen Smoked Onion Spread to a bowl and mix until chicken is coated in the spread

Allow chicken mixture to cool for a few minutes and then mix the cheese into the chicken mixture

Mix egg with a dash of water to create an egg wash

Crumble up the crispy fried onions and place in a separate bowl

Split biscuit in half with hands and place about 2 teaspoons of the chicken and cheese mixture into 1 biscuit, sealing close once done

Coat the sealed crescent rolls with the egg wash, roll in the crispy fried onions, and then place in a greased baking dish about 2 inches apart

Bake covered for 12-14 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown
