Garlic Green Beans
& Mushrooms

Prep: 10 minutes        Cook: 10 minutes        Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 5 Tablespoons Small Batch Kitchen Roasted Garlic Spread

  • 1 lb green beans - washed & trimmed

  • 1/3 lb mushrooms - diced into 1/2 inch pieces (we recommend shiitake or trumpet mushrooms)

  • 1 medium to large shallot - sliced thin

  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons butter 

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

  2. Clean and snap your green beans, and then add to casserole dish

  3. Slice your shallot and dice the mushrooms

  4. Saute the shallots in 1 tablespoon of butter for 5 minutes on medium heat 

  5. Add mushrooms and another tablespoon of butter to the pan with the shallots and continue to saute an additional 5 minutes or until veggies start to brown

  6. Place the shallot and mushroom mix in the casserole dish with the green beans

  7. In the pan used for the mushrooms, bring the remaining tablespoon of butter, soy sauce, and the Small Batch Kitchen Roasted Garlic spread to a simmer and let bubble for 1-2 minutes or until thickened

  8. Add salt and pepper to taste

  9. Pour sauce on your veggies and toss together thoroughly

  10. Cover and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, mixing midway to be sure that all our veggies are covered in the delicious sauce!
